Larry Wasserman- Husband, Father, Spiritual Leader

I have been a Co-missioned salesman of environmental equipment for 25 years. I get paid a salary, but my real reward is in fulfilling the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20. My interests and hobbies include fishing, surfing (internet only), tennis, golf, and travel. I am member of Church in the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

After my Via de Cristo cursillo weekend in 1991, the Lord led me to share His Love in local nursing homes. This led to organizing a ministry called Faithful Friends. The next year, I started ministering in state correctional institutes with an international ministry called Kairos. The word Kairos is a Greek word for a special time, and that is exactly what it is both for the residents and for the minstry team members.

Because of the great experience I had on my cursillo retreat, I have volunteered to serve on over twenty others. These were for high school and college boys, called Chrysalis, and for other men in both the Via de Cristo and the Walk to Emmaus movements. What a blessing it has been to give back the love of Christ that I experienced on my weekend.

I became involved with the Promise Keepers movement ten years ago when 52,000 assembled at the Univ. of Colorado football stadium in Boulder. We were from all different races, colors, and Christian denominations, and were there for one reason-to praise our Lord, Jesus Christ, and to share in our Brotherhood in Him. The great music, the annointed speakers, and great training to be better husbands and fathers was a real plus. Since then, I have attended conferences in Indianapolis, and St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1995, Sandy, Adam, and Matt accompanied me to the conference in Jacksonville, Florida. Sandy was really blessed when she caught a glimpse of her 21 year old twins down on the field Friday night, when they responded to a new commitment to the Lord. Over 70 men from our church joined other men from area churches on a bus trip to the conference. We had the privledge of sponsoring several men from the inner city to join us. In recent years, I have attended conferences in Miami, Washington DC, St. Pertersburg, Jacksonville, and Tampa. Sandy says I need to keep going until I get it right!

I got involved with the internet about 6 years years ago after I bought an inexpensive book called "Acesss the Internet " by David Peal. I signed up for Netcom Service and the rest is history. I actively communicate by E-mail with both business associates and brothers in the faith. I really think it should be called E-vangelism mail or En-couragement mail. The opportunities for Christian growth and action abound on the Web. Check our home page for some starting points.

This year we sent over 100 copies of our 2001 Christmas letter to friends and relatives. Read it online.

Sandy Wasserman- Wife, Mom, Proverbs 31 Woman

Sandy has worked the last 15 years as an ambassador for Christ, cleverly disguised as a secretary at a local elementary school. Her interests and hobbies include shopping (especially Boyds Bears), going to the beach, bike riding, reading, and travel. She is involved with the Kairos Prision Ministry for Men and Women, Walk to Emmaus, Via de Cristo, Faithful Friends Nursing Home Ministry, Promise Keepers, and Bible Study Fellowship. Wherever compassion in action is needed, Sandy seems to be there, serving with a generous heart and and a gentle spirit. Those are some of the reasons I used Proverbs 31 in her role description. Next to the Lord, she is my highest priority in life.
