Issue #6 - April 2003
Faithful Friends
Nursing Home Ministry
Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
Sandy and I would like to wish you a blessed and joy filled Easter
Holiday. We truly serve a Risen Messiah.
In less than a month we will again be celebrating National Nursing Home
Week, which starts on Mother's Day, May 11, and continues until May 17.
This year's theme is "Reflections of a Lifetime" in which we are to
help the residents of care facilities reflect on the past and to
contemplate the future.
This is the ideal time to make a caring visit to that friend, relative,
or church member, who is confined at a local health care facility. A
small gesture like a flower, a card, or a hug, can have a huge impact
on their lives.
For those of us who are involved with regular visitation, this is a
great time to recruit new volunteers and to promote our ministries.
Look for opportunities in your local church, radio stations, newspapers,
and nearby nursing homes.
For more information please visit our special web page for National
Nursing Home Week located at:

We also have many other resources on our web site that may be of
assistance to you.

As we help our special friends to reflect on their past, we can share
with them the Wonderful Hope of the Future that they have in Eternal
Life through Faith in Jesus Christ.
Thank you all in advance for any "random act of kindness" you may give
to God's Special Saints during this week of recognition.
